Poor guy! I agree...once you get the services you paid for, or get him to complete the job, I'd shop for a different dentist. My family didn't know any better when I had my first orthodontist and the guy hurt me every visit. He's tear the corners of my mouth while examining me, or slip with a tool and slice my gums. I was told "no pain, no gain" when I started my braces, so I thought I had to endure this. My friends who had braces loved their orthodontists, but I was tortured every visit. When my family moved from CA to VA, I had to get a new orthodontist. He never hurt me, never tore my mouth, and was angry at how bad the first dentist had been. We were going to sue the first guy, but didn't have the money for a bi-coastal suit. I heard years later that my 2nd orthodontist punched a hole in the wall because he was so angry at what this little girl (me) had endured at the hands of the first guy. I thought he was such a gentle man, but one of his techs told me about it when I was 18 and done with braces. I had braces for 8 years. The first half, the man made my teeth worse, and the second half the man fixed the first guys mistakes and also fixed what I was born with. Anyway, I wish my family had thought to change dentists, but we didn't know any better. If your gut and your sons gut says not to trust this guy, then don't.
