Tidbits and such
life is still filled with the ups and downs
with all the downs Ihave figured out how to do school next year.
So as of now I think I am going to put MidE in Public school and WahE will be at the charter that I was going to put both of the kids in. I think till further notice I can't do a much for LilE, just be patient.
It is funny I have done everything I had wished my parents would have done for me when I was his age.Sadly he is reacting the same way I did when I was a horrid child. I still am a horrid child I just hide it well. I think that Ineed to gind that thing that will make him happy. I need to find that thing that exerts his engergy from thinking all these things and makes him feel alive and worthwhile.
I have given the boys thier second summer off.
I am spending it watching star trek, star wars, indiana jones, every ep of Dr who I can find. We are eating nachos, taco salads, hot dogs and everything else we want to always eat even pizza. We are going to take walks when we can.and play as many video games as we can. I am going to just play and love my boys and hope that when August 1st my dreaded day arrives I will be ready for my MidE to move with his father.
In LilE's last session with Dr. C, Ichanged things up for me and thought that it would help me a bit with LilE.
I met with Dr. C before LilE, I asked him in his proffessional oppinion if I needed to worry about him being bipolar or whatever the lastest term for it is, or OCD or something needing more attention.
This is what I was told. LilE responds to things as if he is 17 or an 18 yo. But sadly he doesn't have the life experience to go with what he is thinking and feeling. Then he had LilE come in and we talked. The good Dr. C asked a few questions about this and thats. He watched our interactions and was surprised at the ways I talked and handled things and then he was even more surprised at the responses that LilE had.
He talked with LilE a few minutes by himself and then talked with me.
He helped me a tad.
BigE in his great way has been offered several jobs too bad he doesn't want to move away.
If my plans change for the kids schooling well I don't know.
A coool thing happened, LilE had a converstion with a teen kid at the book store, they conversed for over an hour. I sat to the side and acted Like I wasn't his mother so he could be "alone", then when I was doen looking at my books I walked up and the teen said I needed to have lilE transfered over to XYZ school insted of the school I have him in.
It was funny, this kid thought he was in High School.

I'm glad the doc is helping you, if even just a bit, with LilE... it's interesting to hear that his intellect and emotions are more advanced than his coping skills. That would be frustrating as all get out for his part.
Have you considered typing him? (MBTI typing) It may (or not) be helpful. You might receive some insight into what drives his personality, if nothing else. Another tool in the box. (He can take the test or you can take it in his stead, though I think that'd be less accurate.)
A short test (48 questions) is here http://similarminds.com/p_jung.html and more advanced test is here http://similarminds.com/pref_jung.html (144 questions).
